Our History

The NFAA (North Florida Astrology Association) was first formed on 12/27/1973 by a dedicated group of astrologers who decided to pool their energies in the study of astrology.

The 1st Board of Directors elected were: President: Elizabeth Mayo; Vice President: Monique Nelson; Treasurer: John Scott, and Coordinator: Ted George. We were known then as the North Florida Astrological Association.

Ted and Elizabeth were both teaching astrology classes, Elizabeth at UNF, in their Quest Program for Adult Education, and Ted also taught adults at FCCJ South Campus.

As the club grew, and more interested astrologers, and beginning astrologers joined us, the club sponsored a series of Astrological Conferences at Jacksonville Beach for several years, where we hosted many well-known, national astrologers and authors, such as Noel Tyl, Robert Hand, Buzz Myers, Zipporah Dobbins, and many others. More recently, the group decided to change their name to the Astrological Association of North Florida, AANF.

The NFAA meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month, (excluding July & December), at 7:00 PM, at the Cosmic Church of Truth, 1637 Hamilton St.,on the Westside of town, just off St. Johns Avenue, a block north of Roosevelt Square.

Our club is an affiliate member of the national organization, the American Federation of Astrologers, based in Tempe, Arizona, and as such, we are bound by the same code of ethics as the national group.

There is no charge to attend the meeting, and we would welcome all peoples of good will who have an interest in astrology.

The  North Florida Astrological Association is an affiliate member of the American Federation of Astrologers, Inc.
Our members adhere to the same
ethical code of conduct.
